TECHNICAL ARCHITECTURE & STRATEGY

Current Architecture Assessment

Current architecture assessment is an evidence-based review of a live production system's components, dependencies, security and continuity risks, bottlenecks and technical debt.

OVERVIEW

What is Current Architecture Assessment?

A working system is not necessarily secure, scalable or sustainable. Hidden dependencies and person-dependent operations often surface during change or incidents.

We assess configuration, metrics, logs, deployment, backups and operational practices rather than relying on diagrams alone.

SERVICE SCOPE

Service scope

01

System inventory

Servers, services, data, network, domains, certificates, integrations and ownership are recorded.

02

Dependency map

Application, data, identity, traffic and third-party flows are modeled.

03

Risk and resilience

Single points of failure, access, updates, backups, restore, observability and incident response are reviewed.

04

Performance and capacity

Resource metrics, application latency and growth boundaries are assessed.

05

Technical debt plan

Findings are prioritized by business impact, likelihood, effort and dependency.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Who is it for?

  • Production environments experiencing recurring outages or performance issues.
  • Companies establishing a baseline before growth, migration or investment.
  • Teams prioritizing technical debt and making it visible to leadership.
DELIVERABLES

Deliverables

  • Current system and dependency map
  • Evidence-backed findings and risk register
  • Single-point-of-failure and continuity assessment
  • Capacity and operational bottlenecks
  • Prioritized 30/60/90-day improvement plan

How we work

01

Assess the current environment, target and dependencies

02

Document scope, risks, acceptance and rollback

03

Implement, validate and document

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Is this the same as Atlas Health Check?

Health Check provides a standardized technical review. Architecture assessment goes deeper into system relationships, target architecture and transformation decisions.

Are changes made during the assessment?

The default scope is read-only analysis and reporting. Any urgent change requires separate approval and a rollback plan.
